About Us

Around the world, healthcare professionals with specimen collection responsibilities have relied on us since 1997 for accurate and authoritative information on specimen collection and processing (preanalytical) procedures through our videos, newsletters, books, posters, articles for download, continuing education exercises, conference presentations, in-services, and more, all based on the most current CLSI standards and OSHA guidelines.

Our Mission

It is our mission to be the world's most dependable source of accurate information on blood specimen collection, to share that information in a multitude of ways, and to elevate the status of the phlebotomy profession.

 

Meet the Director

 Dennis J. Ernst MT(ASCP) has been involved in phlebotomy for over 25 years as a medical technologist, educator and legal consultant. As the Director of the Center for Phlebotomy Education, he conducts workshops, in-services and conferences on phlebotomy across the US and around the globe with the goal of protecting healthcare workers and their patients from injury while obtaining high quality specimens for laboratory testing.
