Continuing Education
Continuing education is essential to maintaining certification and competency for everyone involved in specimen collection. Meeting federal, state, and institutional requirements for continuing education is expensive and challenging. Finding high quality local CE offerings can be even more difficult.
PhlebotomyWeb training courses are approved for continuing education credits by P.A.C.E., the State of California, and the State of Florida. Competency tests are approved for continuing education credits by P.A.C.E. and the State of California. The range and depth of the courseware also means that staff can find CE in the areas they need it, when they need it. This makes PhlebotomyWeb an indispensable resource for improving quality and reducing costs.
Participants apply for credit online as courses are completed, and managers receive quarterly reports that document CEUs earned by each staff member, along with official certificates. This information is also available online, so managers can easily monitor CE status. New training and competency assessments are added to the PhlebotomyWeb menu regularly, and managers are notified by email.
Competency Tests
Phlebotomy is performed by many staff in many locations, which makes competency assessment a difficult and unending challenge. Finding and reminding staff, handling the paperwork, and dealing with exceptions can consume productive time. PhlebotomyWeb can test, track, and document specific competencies ranging from age and location-based competencies, to chain-of-custody specimens, customer service, patient identification, and safety. In addition, all tests are accredited for P.A.C.E continuing education credit from Medical Training Solutions and accepted in California and Florida.
